We always hear people say ‘The Hustle & Bustle of The Season’ and some know all too well what that means. The Christmas season is always flying by and we wonder why that is. We at Simply Home Soaps hope that while you are preparing for the Holiday Season & the festivities, you remember to enjoy what is important to you this time of the year.
We get busy with fulfilling our gift lists, holiday pageantry, festivities, and family gatherings, but do we remember to focus on the important things. If we had to take a moment and assess what was most important to us, what would that be. How would you spend your month of December?
I ponder every year about what is most important to myself and what I want to focus on. I always say that next year I will have my shopping done before December 1st. That never happens and I am always racing to fulfill my kid’s Christmas lists the week leading up to Christmas. Then I spend hours wrapping everything on Christmas Eve instead of attending the Christmas Eve candle light service that my Brother In law always participates in. This year was supposed to be different, but it is looking more and more like previous years. This year, for me, was spending more time with my family.
This year I have done more buying of pre made and easy prep dishes for all the gatherings while supporting our local bakeries. Cut down on time spent cooking or baking to spend more time with the family and kids during this time. I was able to do this by getting some dip mixes and olive oils from our local Simply Home Soaps stores. I did get to see family that was visiting and enjoy more time relaxing by doing these small changes. Therefore, I think that even though I have made little changes this year, I will still need to work harder next year to try and reach my goal to spend even more time with our family.
We are always working on improving and trying to become better versions of ourselves. We are always trying to provide new and improved hand made products for our customers and their families. I think that this is the most wonderful thing about enjoying life and bettering ourselves. I hope that you have some time to slow down, relax you mind & body, remember what is important this year, and how you can help make those things come to light.
