Our homemade candles with soy wax burn clean with less soot than paraffin wax. The soy wax that comes from a farm is sustainable and not damaging to the environment; this is notably different from paraffin wax which comes from fossil fuels that have to be extracted from the earth. Paraffin wax has been reported to release carcinogens and other chemicals that have direct relations to health issues.

Soy Wax is made from soybeans grown by farmers from the Midwest, some of whom are our neighbors and friends; by choosing this type of wax, we are indirectly supporting them. Being a family business and burning candles in our home, Simply Home Soaps is passionate about creating the safest environment for our family and yours.

Follow these safety rules when burning our scented soy candles for optimal results:

• Trim the wick before you burn the candle to 1/4 inch.
• Never place the soy wax candle on a flammable surface while burning.
• Keep out of the reach of children and pets.
• Burn the candle for at least two to three hours to reduce tunneling.
• Never leave a burning candle in a room unattended.
