Our Simply Home Soaps soy wax candles burn clean with less soot than paraffin wax. This is important to our family, and our business, and we feel it is a benefit to all families. The wax in these candles comes from a farm that is sustainable and not damaging to the environment — unlike paraffin which comes from fossil fuels that have to be extracted from the earth.

Soy Wax is made from soybeans grown by farmers from the Midwest, some of whom are our neighbors and friends; by choosing this type of wax, we are indirectly supporting them.

Paraffin wax has been reported to release carcinogens and other chemicals that have direct relations to health issues. This is why our family business, which is passionate about burning candles in our home, is all about providing the safest environment for our family and yours.

Please follow these safety rules when lighting our soy wax candles to extend their life:

• Trim the wick before you burn the candle to 1/4 inch.
• Never place the candle on a flammable surface while burning.
• Keep out of the reach of children and pets.
• Burn the candle for at least two to three hours to reduce tunneling.
• Never leave a burning scented soy candle in a room unattended.
